Every once and a while as a cameraman I run into fun gigs. The Eddie Money concert at the Daytona Coliseum on Wednesday Night was one of them. Last min driving in from Miami, after 2 weeks on the road shooting Cuban documentary footage I get the call to cover the concert to be used for the Coliseum Promo video, already a month in production . I slow up , the shows already started , get into the on-stage band shots and the drummer in an "eat it naked" Wing House " T-shirt allows me get the shot from behind him.. What a great Band !. All great performers, who love their life and music !
There is nothing like outgoing talent who loves getting the good shots. The band was awesome and put on a great show, allowing for some beautiful scenes.. crowd was good too..
The video is a testament to the new SONY EX1 Hi-Def Camera and my Steady Grip Camera Bracket for hand-held shots, INCREDIBLE low-light capabilities, color rendition and overall performance for run-n-gun video photography. The audio was all on-camera mic, two different levels allowing for good audio editing..
The video looks life-like in HD , Standard TV looks network quality , however for Internet it would be better with more close-ups ( next time) .
They sure do put on a great show with so many hits....Rock-n-Roll. maybe it does last forever!!
